Tradtional Aboriginal Weaving Workshop
Come and learn the art of traditional weaving with Ronnie Jordan that has been shared for many thousands of years. Learning how to coil weave and making rope.
This workshop will also include a talk on artifacts and natural fibres used for weaving.

Bush Animal Making
Inspired by the Tjanpi weavers, come and join Ronnie Jordan to create your own bush animal using natural fibres. Hunting stories shared in the workshop.
Collect your own materials sourced from the bush to add to your animal.
All materials included: wool, raffia and straw

Traditional Indigenous Games (TIG)
TIG is a great way to engage a diverse range of people from children to the Elders both Indigenous and non-Indigenous. This results in the audience experiencing and sharing an important aspect of our culture, whether it is children experiencing it for the first time or Elders reminiscing an element of their youth.

Thunderstone along with other local Aboriginal businesses, Culture on the Move and Yurbay have conducted many Aboriginal cultural programs, activities and tours across Canberra in schools, childcare centres, government and non-government agencies, corporate and community organisations.
Seeing an opportunity for expansion, Thunderstone developed the first ever Aboriginal tourism product in the Australian Capital Territory – Dhawura Aboriginal Cultural Tours. Dhawura tours will share Aboriginal cultural knowledge with the local, domestic and international markets.
